Fear and Thankfulness

The first thing I have to say is how incredibly thankful Dan and I are for the generous, amazing people who have committed to purchasing our t-shirts. We have met our minimum goal of 50 t-shirts, which means our shirts will be printed! To each one of you that have purchased one or more, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts. We have been so encouraged through this, and our words cannot express how thankful we are to each one of you, friends both old and new, co-workers, and family. You are amazing! We rejoiced with every t-shirt sale, knowing that another person partnered with us on this awesome journey. Not only does this help us to cover our next fee, the immigration application (which is such a blessing), but also it makes us so thankful to know that we will have so many prayers covering our little girl in China. We have 6 days left in our t-shirt sale, so if anyone still wants one, just make sure to purchase before May 1st, at which point the fundraiser will end and the shirts will be printed and shipped out. Here is the link to our t-shirt sale.

If you are interested in partnering with us and you really hate t-shirts (this is for you, Grandma), we have set up a Pure Charity account, which provides a tax-deductible way for people to make donations that go directly to our adoption agency in our name. You can find our page here. You can also use Pure Charity to earn money to give while doing your normal online shopping. If you are interested in this to help us out, click here for more information. We know that the number one fear that families have when adopting or deciding to adopt is finances. Adoption is not an inexpensive undertaking! Looking at the fees and invoices can turn excitement into fear. We are continuing to remember that God is the Father to the fatherless, and God is not a dead-beat dad! If He can turn two fish and five loaves of bread into a meal for 4,000 people, He can certainly transform our finances to be ready for a $30,000+ adoption. We are allowing this fear to turn into a lesson of trust.

Our good friend Karen was nice enough to give us a box of little girl clothes last time we visited. When I went through them, this shirt stuck out to me. It says, “loved, protected, valued: Priceless”. This is exactly how God feels about each one of us, including the orphans everywhere in the world. And, it’s exactly how I feel about our little girl. There is no dollar amount that can scare away God and His promises. This will be the first shirt I put on her when she is ours, whether it fits or not!

Launching our first fundraiser….everybody loves a good t-shirt, right?

We are excited to start our first fundraiser to bring home our little girl!!! We thought a perfect way to start our fundraising (thanks to a great idea from my good friend, Rachel) was to utilize an awesome fundraising site to design our Lunde Adoption T-Shirt.  Not only does this help us to raise some of our needed funds to bring home our girl from China, but we also hope it will be a good reminder to pray for her and for all of the children in need of forever homes. In order for this fundraiser to be successful, we have to sell at least 50 shirts by May 1st.  If we meet this minimum goal, Bonfire Funds will print and ship all of our shirts directly to our supporters.

If we are not able to meet our minimum shirt sales goal, our fund ends, no shirts are made, no one is charged, and no money is exchanged. If we do meet our goal, Bonfire will print, ship, and charge you for your order. We are really hoping to meet and exceed our goal with your help! We will receive $11.50 per shirt that will go directly to our adoption expenses.

We’re really excited about the t-shirts we designed, and we hope you will love them as much as we do! We wanted to remember God’s promise in John 14:18 that He will not leave us as orphans. I know that this means that He has adopted us as His children to spend eternity with Him, and I also believe that He will provide a way for us to bring home our little Lunde girl all the way from China. His love for each and every person has no limits!

There are a few ways that you can help us!

1. Consider supporting us on our journey by purchasing a t-shirt. To view and purchase a shirt, please visit: https://www.bonfirefunds.com/the-lunde-adoption-fund

2. We would love for you to share our Bonfire page on social media! Spreading the word is the best way for our fundraiser to succeed.

3. Please pray for our fundraising and adoption process, as well as the orphans all over the world waiting for their forever families. We know that God will provide the funds needed for our adoption!

We have 17 days to reach our fundraising goal! Thank you for supporting us!!!
